A taste of Android!

RadarLove Android Edition!

So I finally have had some time to play around in the Android SDK, and just playing around, started to see how difficult it would be to port RadarLove over to Android.  The SDK has some great libraries but I am nowhere near ready to release this yet.  Anyways, just wanted to show you what I am working on.

You do know that we really just want GolfGPS for our Evo and Droid Incredible right? :) RadarLove can come second!

you got the evo did you? FreeCaddie is pretty good on Droid, try it out and see if you still want GolfGPS. I will still port it however.

I got the Evo at 8 am on June 4th…I was first in the store since I had gotten there about 6 am (maybe a little earlier) because I was heading to St. Louis that morning and definitely wanted to make it home with the Evo :) I love it so far…haven’t had too many issues and I got it rooted already so I’m avoiding all Sprint updates until 2.2 comes out…then, I’ll start messing around with custom roms.

hahaha, you are like the iPhone junkies, waiting in line for a Phone ;) I can’t get this damn Incredible rooted, been trying since day one, but can not get it to take. I too want 2.2, and if I could get root there are 2.2 roms available, but they are without SenseUI and I actually like SenseUI.

I agree…I like the SenseUI as well which is why I’m waiting to go to 2.2. Once they release the official 2.2 with Sense, I figure I’ll give them some time to port it to a custom rom and then take it. I just took a look at freecaddie. I like it and I might buy the freecaddie pro once I get out to a golf course to give it a try. That way, if I don’t like it, I can return it within the 24 hour period.
